    Utility of Hydrazide in Synthesis of Some Novel Heterocyclic Compounds and Evaluation as Antidepressant Potency

  • Abstract

    This work demonstrates a rapid, efficient method for synthesis of some new heterocyclic compounds viz. 2-(3-(p-tolylsulfonyl)phenyl -5-phenyl-amino)1,3,4-thiadiazole (6), 2-(3-(p-tolylsulfonyl)phenyl -5-phenylamino) 1,3,4-oxadiazole (7) and 2-(3-(p-tolylsulfonyl) phenyl -5-mercapto)1,3,4-triazole (8). These compounds exhibits highest antidepressant activity.
